Acupuncture / TCM / Cupping Therapy may involve the insertion of very thin needles through your skin at strategic points on your body. While performing cupping, therapist puts special cups on your skin for a few minutes to create suction. A key component of traditional Chinese medicine, acupuncture/cupping is most commonly used to treat pain. Increasingly, it is being used for overall wellness, including stress management.
Acupuncture points are believed to stimulate the central nervous system. This, in turn, releases chemicals into the muscles, spinal cord, and brain. These biochemical changes may stimulate the body's natural healing abilities and promote physical and emotional well-being.
The entire session is followed by elements for massage where therapist would use hands to release tension and may use a tool called Gua Sha.

Covered under Physiotherapy, Spinal Decompression therapy involves stretching the spine, using a traction table or motorized device, with the goal of relieving back pain and/or leg pain. The therapist inputs your weight and height in the system and it works by gently stretching the spine according to those inputs. This change takes pressure off the spinal disks, which are gel-like cushions between the bones in your spine, by creating negative pressure in the disc. As a result, bulging or herniated disks may retract, taking pressure off nerves and other structures in your spine.
This in turn, helps promote movement of water, oxygen, and nutrient-rich fluids into the disks so they can heal.
Spinal Decompression treatment is generally accompanied by manual therapy.
